LEARNING OUTCOMES
This course will provide the students with the knowledge and skills of teaching English as a foreign language to young learners.
BASIC COMPETENCE
After accomplishing the course, students are expected to be knowledgeable with both principles and methods of teaching English as a foreign language to young learners and write a lesson plan.
LEARNING INDICATORS
Students are able to:
1. identify the characteristics of young language learner and class management and atmosphere;
2. present their ideas about teaching the four language skills.

EVALUATION
There are three kinds of evaluation in this course, namely mid-term test, assignment, and final-term test. The evaluation is based on individual’s performance.
1. Mid-term Test
Students are to answer questions given in a written test.

2. Assignment
Students are to work with a report that discusses the following topics:
a. Assignment 1: the characteristics of young learner
b. Assignment 2: classroom management and the teaching media
c. Assignment 3: teaching listening to young learner
d. Assignment 4: teaching speaking to young learner
e. Assignment 5: teaching reading to young learner
f. Assignment 6: teaching writing to young learner
